Blackbuck National Park, Velavadar. Gujart.[ 26/11/2015 ]

Black-buck National Park, Velavadar

On 9 Nov 2015, Eddie and I chose to go to The Blackbuck National Park situated at Velavadar-Bhag close to Bhavnagar. We left Chandkheda around 8 a.m. with Ajay, another friend who is also a novice wildlife photographer. From Sardar Patel Ring Rd, we took the NH 8A Rd, towards Bagodra, and from there we drove down GJ SH 6, to Dholera., on reaching Adheli we swung right onto Adhelai-Velavadar Link Road. Upon our arrival at the park gate, someone informed us that we had to wait until 3 p.m. Since we did not like to hang around, we decided to drive around the park's periphery and do some shooting. We got quite a few birds and some blackbuck on our jaunt. This National Park is pretty secluded and not as commonly known as some of the more popular ones. I recommend anyone visiting this place to carry adequate drinking water, fruits and a light meal, as there are not many eateries or stores in this remote place. We reached the park by three o'clock and paid the entrance fees for the vehicle and our cameras. (Please note that you should have a spare seat in your car to accommodate a forest guide who will guide you around the park. We did get some lovely shots of various bird species, Nilgai and Blackbuck. We checked out of the park around 5 pm and went back home. I’m posting some information and some of my snaps hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed clicking them.

Shuel Braganza still on the missing list Mount Abu

Search for Shuel Braganza: Mount Abu Community Still Holds Hope

It’s been almost a month since Shuel Braganza went missing on October 21, 2015, during what was supposed to be a solo climb of Plummy. Despite the passage of time, the Mount Abu community remains united and hopeful as they search for him.
Tomorrow, November 17, 2015, the Forest Department, local Scouts, police, and volunteers will undertake a significant combing operation. This coordinated effort is a testament to the dedication of those involved, determined to bring Shuel home.
The uncertainty is difficult for everyone who knows him, and we can only pray for his safety. You can expect updates on the search efforts and any progress through my Facebook account.

Let’s keep Shuel and his family in our thoughts as this critical search continues.
