The meteorological department has issued an alert regarding the threat of severe cold in many parts of Rajasthan state. Rajasthan is feeling the effects of the recent snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal through an icy wave. On the last two days of November, the temperature dipped and on the first day of December; it hit zero. Last night it fell short of dropping to zero. Our winter is in full swing, and within days the temperature will drop over to minus.
Newspapers will be rife with snowfall in Mount Abu. Let me assure you that this claim is a myth. Frost that takes place in the field during the night freezes water and dew in the field, making it look like Abu has snow.
Captions such as these "Visit the frosty mountains of Rajasthan, Mount Abu", "Mount Abu Snowfall", "Mt Abu sports a 'snow-white' look this winter" and a host of other captions give the impression that it snows in Abu. This frosty occurrence draws tourists to the hill in large numbers.
Tourists visiting Abu will need warm clothing as mornings and evenings get chilly.
