Experience the incredible craziness and excitement of Marian School's inter-class football competition! Football runs in the blood of every Marian, whether they are present students or alumni. Football is more than simply a game; it is a bond that unites everyone in the school.

The event started a little later this year because of a three-week vacation, and some boys represented the school in the inter-school competition in Asansol. The wait "Eventually" ended yesterday when Brother Robert officially launched the inter-class football tournament.

The guys' passion was intense - you'd think they were preparing for the World Cup! The atmosphere was electric with anticipation as the competition promised exciting battles and spectacular moments. As the games go, I'll keep you up to speed with live results and unique photos supplied right from the school.

Looks like our monsoon season is beginning with a Bang

Baffling lightning, with massive huge sparking and heavy thundering, hit the Abode of the Gods ten minutes ago. Seems like the lightning hit one of our major power lines, cutting off our power. My little doggies are terrified.

Fear and panic gripped the hills of Achalgarh today after yet another brutal bear attack shocked the people of Mount Abu.

 In a horrifying early morning incident, a bear mauled a local resident while venturing into the forests near Achalgarh with a group of villagers to collect wild mango. This bear attack on the local Abuite in Achalgarh turned into a nightmare.

 According to eyewitnesses, one member of the group wandered away from the others while searching deeper inside the forest. Within moments, terrifying screams shattered the silence of the jungle as a bear launched a savage attack.

 Hearing the desperate cries for help, the rest of the group rushed toward the scene in panic. In a dramatic rescue attempt, villagers scared the bear away before it disappeared back into the dense forest.

The victim suffered serious injuries, bled, and experienced unbearable pain before an ambulance transported him to Global Hospital, where medical professionals are treating him.

 The shocking incident has sent waves of fear across Mount Abu, especially in the Achalgarh belt, where sightings of sloth bears have become common during the monsoon months. Locals say the forests have become unpredictable and dangerous during dawn and dusk hours when wildlife movement is at its peak.

 Adding to the tension, graphic photographs and disturbing videos from the attack scene have gone viral across local WhatsApp groups, leaving residents alarmed and outraged. Viewer discretion is advised.

 This latest attack once again raises serious questions about growing human-wildlife conflict in Mount Abu’s fragile forest ecosystem. Residents living near the sanctuary fear that without immediate preventive measures, more such attacks may follow.

 Mount Abu remains beautiful during the monsoon season — but beneath the mist and greenery, fear now stalks the forests of Achalgarh.

Abuites are apprehensive, as, like most places in Rajasthan, water scarcity is a bitter reality.

“In Mount Abu, hope rises faster than the water level.”

Some years, the rain comes like an old friend -

early, certain, and full of stories.

This year, it lingers at the edge of memory.

Thirst and faith are intertwined.

In Mount Abu, July brings the reassuring drumroll of rain on tiled rooftops, misty mornings, and the earthy perfume of wet soil drifting through the streets. But this year, the skies have been silent. The town, known as the gods’ dwelling, is watching the horizon, hoping the Rain Gods recall their vow.

 Like most of Rajasthan, water scarcity here is not an abstract worry, but a lived reality. For many Abuites, the prior weeks of the monsoon are the difference between relief and rationing. Shopkeepers in the bazaar discuss the reservoirs and wells.

Still, nature has offered a slight gesture of kindness. A couple of fierce thunderstorms swept in earlier this month, drenching the slopes with 10 inches of rain. It was enough to cool the air, send a shiver of green racing across the hillsides, and coax plants and grass into vigorous growth. Even the jacaranda and Golden Shower trees — spring’s show-offs — have broken tradition, blooming now defies the calendar, adding bursts of purple and gold to the landscape.

But the joy is fragile. Meteorologists say the monsoon is pausing, and INSAT-3D satellite pictures imply the pause could be lengthy. Predictions indicate that the rains will return in earnest during the second week of August. Until then, the air remains thick with both humidity and uncertainty.

 Curiously, there were no ceremonies to call the rain gods this year. Perhaps people have grown weary of theatrics, choosing instead a quieter hope — the kind that waits without fanfare, trusting that the clouds will give in. In the meantime, Abu carries on: children cycle through puddles left by the last storm, cattle graze on fresh shoots, and the hills, though thirsty, hold on to their green.

 The town expects — as it always does — the monsoon’s downpour and its holy cleansing of the hills.

During this time of year, people should be cautious of bears as mother bears and their cubs are out looking for food.

A local Abuite (Bada Singh) yesterday evening around seven pm was returning home with his cattle in Oriya when a bear attacked him. His screams drew the attention of the others in the area and they could shoo the bear away. They rushed the injured victim off to the Global Hospital. I’m posting the media received by my WhatsApp group. BE WARNED the photographs of this mishap and the link I’m posting from previous posts is gruesome.
