A local Abuite is on his way to Baba Ramdev's shrine.

Today while I was out birding I saw a few guys on bicycles. This aroused my curiosity, and I flagged one of them and asked him where he was going. He introduced himself as Shanti Lal. He and 5 others from Delaware Mount Abu were traveling 460 km to attend the Ramdevra Fair and pay homage to the saint at Ramdev Temple in Rajasthan. The temple is located 13 km from Pokhran on the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer road. Aba Ramdev’s followers regard him as the incarnation of Lord Krishna, while Muslims venerate him as Ramshah Pir. His followers are from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Million of his followers take this annual pilgrimage from Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and other parts of India.
Ramdev Jayanti is a public holiday in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The major celebration of Ramdev Jayanti takes place at the temple dedicated to him.
